PAST PROJECTS & PARTNERS

Annual Day of Compassion Each March,

the Metamorphosis Compassion Team and professional volunteers make it a day to remember for 55 deserving women. The Fort Bend Women’s Center, The Star of Hope, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Wellspring Village and other transitional living centers select women to attend the Day of Compassion. Professional hair stylists, make up artists, nail technicians, masseuse, and others donate services to treat the women to a day in the beauty salon. Metamorphosis volunteers encourage the women during their stay. Vendors provide meals, beverages and a bag of goodies for all attendees.

Epiphany Benefit Concert

Metamorphosis provides appropriate formal clothing for teenagers who are a part of the Chimney Rock Center to attend the Epiphany Benefit Concert. Up to forty teenagers benefit from the generous contributions of the Metamorphosis Compassion Team members.

The Bambi House and the WHO House

The Metamorphosis Compassion Team visit and encourage new mothers who have been recently released from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. The generous contributions of the Metamorphosis Compassion Team members provide clothing and necessary items for infants and gifts to mothers.

The Love House

Holidays are often lonely times for the elderly and the disabled. The Metamorphosis Compassion Team members provide a holiday dinner, companionship and support for residents at The Love House. [pic below]

Back to School Supply Drive for Girls

To equip our girls for a productive and successful school year, the Metamorphosis Compassion Team prepared backpacks loaded with school supplies. Girls were encouraged to build self-esteem, to join the anti-bullying program and to pursue the school year with excellence.

Feed the Homeless

The Metamorphosis Compassion Team served over 200 homeless persons meals in Hermann Park. Volunteers assisted with food preparation and distribution.

The Houston Food Bank

Twice annually the Metamorphosis Compassion Team volunteers with Houston Food Bank to meet the needs of the hungry in Houston. Awareness of food shortages reminds us that a hand out and help up is often needed.

Fed about 200 homeless in the Herman park area. This was done in 2012 and will go again the 2nd and 4th quarter of 2015.
